On the relationship between the GRA and the EqA
It is a commonly held position amongst many legal scholars and practitioners that the GRA modifies the meaning of sex in law, so that “woman” means both someone born female and a male with a GRC, and that this meaning extends to the EqA, so that a woman in the Act is both a female and a male with a GRC.
